Do people use instant gasket stuff when replacing a jx water pump. Between the pump and the block? I'm thinking not.

I always tend to paste seals up, can't be doing with things coming back, belt and braces.

What do you mean by " paste seals up" does that mean use a bit of instant gasket? Not that I have any but can buy some. Any recommendations? I've removed the pump which is only couple years old and fine as it was leaking a little from between it and the block.Simon Baxter wrote:I always tend to paste seals up, can't be doing with things coming back, belt and braces.
