Radius rod

Hi all I am trying to put new radius rod bushes on I have soaked all threads with plus gas the top two nuts undid easy but I cannot get the rod out of the lower mounts been soaking for3 days and still won’t budge any ideas would be great I have no access to heat

I used a large Stilson pipe wrench on mine - with some pipe over the end for extra leverage.

Cheers that’s my next move tomorrow did you chew up the radius rod bad or was it saved ?

It left a few teeth marks but was fine and was re-used. I reasoned that as they were no more than the depth of the threads they were likely to be OK. Haven't snapped yet!

I used a jack under my 27mm spanner and it lifted that sode of the van. That and then smacking the spanner with a lump hammer got it moving.
1987 VW T25: Subaru EJ20 using RJES parts (If it was meant to go fast it wouldn't be brick shaped!)

Hi thanks for the reply’s got them both off today by no means easy it took two of us , a spanner a , wrench and some pipe over both we were lifting the van off the axel stands !!!! but the buggers went eventually not bad really only started the job on Saturday .
