Hi can someone please explain what the LDA does ? And should there be two pipes coming from it mine has 1 and it seems to be venting off underneath onto the engine block from a small pipe any info would be great as I don't know much about them cheers Danny.. ps ..van running ok

The LDA is adding more fuel by moving a lever inside the the diesel pump when pressure is applied to the diaphragm inside the canister. As the turbo spins up it creates pressure in the intake manifold and that pressure is pressing the membrane that adds more fuel to the

By factory there should be only one hose from the intake manifold to the canister of the LDA. The other side of the LDA membrane is vented to atmosphere. So on the LDA canister there are two small nipples one has a hose connected to the manifold, the other is just left clear.
