Ok twice we have been camping and on the trip home the rain starts the bus getting sluggish pops farts and cuts out she will start agian but will die as there's no throttle response, also on both occasions we had fueled up a couple of miles back.
The right fuel went in but filter looks a little dirty it's doing my box in trying to think what it could be
Would be nice to finish a trip under are own steam for a change
Any help would be great

Re: 1.9 DG wet weather issues
water in fuel perhaps, common for the filler neck to be perished
water is heavier so sinks to bottom gets mixed up after fill up?
in time it seperates out again.

Re: 1.9 DG wet weather issues
I agree with what Itchy has said above, I had exactly the same issues, turned out that when I had replaced the fuel tank I had knocked off one of the breather pipes during the refitting, and therefore everytime it rained the splashing up effect allowed water to get into the tank.
The first time out in rain, a good few months after I had put the new tank in, I started to get the farting and dropping off of revs but I was close to home and limped in .I drained off some of the fuel into a clean jug and I could see the water globules in the jug. I got a bottle of fuel additive from halfords (can't remember the name) that you add to the fuel tank this somehow absorbs the water. Anyway, once the breather was properly back on the fuel tank I had solved the problem.
Been out in the rain since with no probs, (famous last words).
Good luck

Do you have the correct tinware fitted around the bottom sides of the engine bay ? Our van was missing them when we got it and water sprayed directly from the n/s/r wheel onto the coil when it rained
