2.0l CU engine, electronic ignition
Right... A look through old posts of mine will reveal that I've had consistent idling problems in the past. They've struck again on a road in France
Engine was running beautifully until we did a long drive (5hrs plus) in hot weather two days ago. When we arrived the idling was lumpy. It got worse over a short drive today up to the point where it will now no longer idle at all
I've checked the idle solenoids--they seem clear and click when I test them. It's sparking and running fine on the choke/throttle, but has nothing on idle at all
Recent work has included:
New HT leads
New spark plugs
Carbs tuned/adjusted
Any hel before I throw myself on the mercy of a French mechanic (if I can find one in August) would be hugely welcomed
Thanks
James

Where you broke down would help
try saran, he is an Aircooled expert and usually happy to help, he may not be local to you but may be able to suggest checks.
