Hi I don’t think the mechanic did buy can check tomorrow! Could that be responsible by sounds of things?

I had this problem, which was intermittent but only happened after a long journey. Left the van for a couple of hours to cool down and the problem went away. Different garages tried everything to fix it but nothing solved the problem. So, I decided to get a brand new old stock carb fitted. After that, problem solved. I sourced the carb from Mecatechnic in France.

For the sake of a few quid and a 5 minute job, it’s got to be worth a try. You can compare the size against the old one to see if it’s worn at all.

If it’s possibly the carb - have a look at maybe getting a refurb kit and give it a good clean with some carb cleaner.
