yes,i work for a motor factor(mainly commercial vehicles) sell loads of the stuff & people say it works a treat.
there are testimonials from people who used the stuff & say it cured cracked heads ,,, permanently...try it & see.

That's what I worry about but if it gets me up and running for now all well and good thinking of doing a Subaru conversion later on anyway after I have finished the restoration :ok

Never went for the k seal just took the head back off again no signs of any cracks in the head or the block or head gasket as it was new but the one thing I did notice was that number 1 cylinder has not been firing because all the other cynlinder had gone black but number one looked like it had been washed in a washer it was that clean there was no water in the cynlinder because it was at top dead center now I am confused and now I think I have just found another ptoblem I don't think the oil is getting pumped to the head as it only had the little bit I poor over the cam to lubricant it.if I new how to add a picture I would :(

No1 cylinder clean as in your description.Looks like a case of water leakage into that cylinder where it has a scouring effect cleaning off carbon deposits.I have worked on these diesel engine T25 and about 6 head skims. The only way to ensure there are no cracks leaking gases or coolent is to get a pressure test prior to the head being skimmed.A charge from a reconditioner for a pressure test & skim aprox £75.00 extra for correct gasket. Some reconditioners use dye as well as pressure testing. Oh taking the head off for a visual inspection is not the same as a full pressure test as I suspect you have a crack that with heat and pressure is opened :ok up allowing coolent into the cylinder

Cheers camper i had it skimed already can i still get a pressure tested now or is it to later and is there anyway of testing the oil pump without taking the engine out and does the oil enter the head from the thin brake like pipe on the back of the head.

The head skim you had done should have included a crack or pressure test before any machining.Did you torque down the cylinder head correctly with a new gasket ensuring a good seal between the cylinder head surface and block. If the cylinder head passed a pressure test and coolent was coming out of the exhaust after replacing the head back on the engine and running as you are describing. Then the problem is not with the cylinder head but elsewhere.

These are the setting i used to torque the head down 1st 29 2nd 43 3rd turn 90 degrees 4th turn 90 degrees 5th warm engine 6th turn 90 degrees 7th after 1000 miles turn 90 degrees the only one i have not done the last stage as the van has not moved and i have never had to have a pressure test done before maybe i must of been lucky up till now  i can't think of any other place the water is coming from besides the head/gasket and block i will have to get the head pressure tested :( and i will post my results on here cheers for your thoughts on the matter in hand

Consider this if you spend money getting a pressure test if the head passes. Then the problem is with the cast iron block requiring a replacement engine block&parts. If the head fails a pressure test then you require a new or second hand cylinder head. Explain to where you had the head skim about the coolent leakage out of the exhaust as there might be only a small charge to find out if the head is good. It might be worth finding a good used head or complete engine such as a 1.9 1Y upgrade.
