Hi All
I recently had to remove the gearbox to do a clutch change along with release arm and associated components.
While the box was out I gave it a good clean and changed all the seals - input shaft seal, drive hub seals and selector shaft seal.
When i first put it back it leaked from the bell housing... this was down myself and my mate both thinking the other one of us had fitted the new spigot bearing...
So Tuesday pulled the box again and fitted the spigot as well as new input shaft seal from Brickwerks (GSF one was awful)
I have put it all back and input shaft is now not leaking but there seems to be a leak from the selector shaft now - and it wasnt there when I had the leak from the bellhousing...
Has anyone had this issue before?
I did push the bracket that the linkage rod runs through up as far as I could before bolting it up as the gear change seemed a bit better in that position... could this be pushing the selector shaft in the box upwards a bit and allowing oil to seep past? (i know it needs a rebuild kit for the linkage / gearstick, but i need to get paid again before that gets done!)
Any thoughts gratefully recieved...

Thanks guys! I guess it must be blocked as I had the box on its end to change the input seal the 2nd time and didn't drain the oil... nothing leaked. ... I will investigate! !

Re: Gearbox oil leak - selector shaft
OK
Well leak seems to be sorted, originally I had bought the non OEM seal from brickworks which is a standard type Ellring oil seal, however it is quite a different design to the OEM blue one which I bought subsequently and seems to seal much more effectively. When I bought it I didn't notice the OEM one! anyway it seems to be sorted.
However... I cant find the breather hole at all!!! does anyone have a pic or diagram they could mark up so I could find it as I am pretty sure it must be blocked and im worried now!!
Thanks Guys

Nearside top by bolt on the nose - not hard to miss ....much, usually covered with the contents of Thomas Crapper's finest porcelain.
