Hi all,
I'm hoping someone may be able to help, I'm trying to fit a stainless Speedshop exhaust, and am having trouble getting it to fit.

I have searched the wiki, this site and the net, but can't find any pics or info that might help.

Has anyone done this and got any tips / photos they would like to share?

Is it a full system or jest the rear part off the heat exchangers??

In either case, it ought to be pretty straight forward.. unless they have supplied the wrong parts..

It's just the rear header pipes and muffler.
I can't get it bolted to the heat exchangers because it's too big to fit inside the rear valence.

Having realised that this Speedshop exhaust is never going to fit, and discovering that the flanges are going rusty after just one night out, I am sending it back for refund.

So my question now is, does anyone know of an aftermarket stainless exhaust that will fit an Aircooled T25?
I looked at the vintage speed muffler which looks promising, but I'm waiting on some dimensions to see if it will fit.

I fitted one to my wb. I know what you mean about the flanges. Was a bit of a shock. But they're holding up ok. Must remember to buy a small oil filter when I service.

I'm thinking of doing the bike end can conversion.

Is there any re jetting required like there is on a bike?

Nope, no rejetting at all. Lots seemed to have followed me on kawasaki can. Sounds nice, smooths out flat spots, and is cheap to replace. (averages about £20-£35 for the silencer) Beats the stock one in so many ways. Just bear in mind points about rear apron.

have you looked at bas exhausts

I used a Suzuki GSXR SRAD 1998 bolted straight on to an empi header. Paint the header before it rusts on you though for a cleaner look

Had to persuade it under the valance though but no cutting needed.

Not too keen on the look of the bike can, but a great idea.
I looked at the Ahnendorp BAS system a while back. I like the design but it's a bit too pricey for me, so finally went for a CSP Python that JK we're selling at a good price.
It fitted straight on without interfering with anything else and looks nice and neat, and the fitting kit that comes with it includes all the gaskets and hardware required. A very well engineered system.

I was disappointed in those flanges too, but Kombi Klassics managed to fit it
