Hi guys, following my engine rebuild and numerous issues i can't get the thing to run. Will start and eventually ticked over but with lots of backfiring etc firing in the bottom of carb no 2. Twin solex's on 2.0 Aircooled. Eventually blew off the vac hose on manifold which feeds braking system. Put this back on again but it then started popping through this hose which had ruptured.
I'm after advice or does anybody know somebody mobile who lives near Tamworth Staffs or nearby where I might be able to get carbs set up correctly? I have ordered a new hose and have discovered that the gasket on carb 2 appears to have a breach . I believe that the popping could be caused by any air leak, like gasket and by running lean. The carbs ran ok prior to rebuild.
