Won't start when left for a week

Post by Ianto »

Hello everyone, my 1983 1.9 water cooled T25 won't start after being parked for a week. A tiny squirt of easy start gets her running instantly. If I continue to drive her once running there's no problem at all. It's only happening after a few days parked. Any advice would be welcome. Kind regards Ian

Has it got the stock air filter system
Has it only occurred in the last 3 months
Will it not start after a prolonged crank
Any other running issues [hunting at idle]
Basics been done, new filter. Timing, plugs.
Vacuum capsule in dizzy holding air.
Is the fuel solenoid energizing .

I would add a compression check to that list.
