Cone shaped gauze filter

Post by shrig1969 »

Hello all
I need to source a replacement fuel filter. The one that is found inside the inlet port on my Pierburgh carburettor. Mine has a hole in it.
I have searched high and low but to no avail. I’ve tried describing it as well as using the part number, but no joy.
Could someone point me in the right direction please.
Thanks in advance

Pierburg stuff is nla, and finding suppliers still holding stock has become increasingly difficult - Bromyard VW used to be the goto place
Someone like Classic Carbs maybe able to help
otherwise Partsemporium are listing a whole used carb for £40 which you might be able to break for parts, and there may be similar filters for Weber or Dellorto or SU carbs, likely a fair bit of ringing around....

found this online linkie

Got in touch with Eric at the carb hospital and he has found me an original pierburg service kit with the elusive filter included. More than I wanted to pay, so looks like I’ll be doing more work than originally intended.
Thanks for the link, much appreciated

Intended to give that filter from your link a go but unfortunately they were out of stock and there was a 120 day lead time to get them in.
Shame, as for the price it might have been worth a try.
Thanks for the help in looking
