Hi guys,
Silly question, but where’s my thermostat located? my engines overheating and the fan switch also seized on me today.
I’m not great with engines.

It looks as if you also have a vacuum tube missing between the airbox and the Carb.

Ahh right, TBH I only know the 2.1. I wrongly assumed the stermothats were in the same place.

Re: Where’s my Thermostat?
If you have to remove the housing give all the bolts a good brush and sparky with plusgas beforehand. Have you tested the radiator switch by bridging the the connector pins with a paper clip to test if it is faulty?
When you say overheating have you checked coolant levels in both tanks?
David.

Re: Where’s my Thermostat?
Hi David, yes I’ve checked the coolant levels and they’re both good. I haven’t tested the radiator, but I’ll do that.
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Where’s my Thermostat?
I’ve noticed the lower pipe here on the photo doesn’t get hot while running the engine so could this be a stuck thermostat?

Lower pipe is the cooled water coming back from the radiator. Top pipe is the hot water going to the radiator.
