the oak that i get rom the mill is all inported from france so it will simply be moving back to the main land europe to go back to the ground that it came from a few henderd miles north east though :lol: .

The second one has a large tent area which has electic, that might be the best bet.
Althought these are both just short of 4hrs from Dunkirk, and as Mammut Park is only 5hr45, we should perhaps be looking at an earlier stop.

What do those on the 8am ferry want to do? Do you want to keep going, stop at a proper campsite and pay around 20E or a cheaper service station style option on the road :?:

Ok peps,
Here is my slightly longer ‘short’ list of sites that might be useful to us as a stop over.
My attempts at emailing hasn’t gotten very far, I’m going to give Horster Ruhrbrücke a call tomorrow as they advertise a pub nearby (Jed).
Either way, As Jenny suggested, I’m sure the sites wont be full, and expecting some fragmenting of the convoy, we shouldn’t have trouble finding somewhere to kip and wash.

Rheincamping Meerbusch (ehemals Azur Campingplatz)
http://rheincamping.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
3hrs15 from Dunkirk and a little south off our route
Breitbach, Brix & Dunke GbR
Zur Rheinfähre 21
40668 Meerbusch ( Langst-Kierst )
Tel.: 02150 91 18 17

Mobil Camp
http://mobilcamp.de/html/kontakt.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
3hrs 20 from Dunkirk looks a bit more like a stellaplatz than a full campsite
Mobile Camp
Gelsenkirchen Adenauer
Allee 100
D - 45891 Gelsenkirchen
Tel. 0176 / 78 56 98 29

Campingplatz „Horster Ruhrbrücke“
This place looks nice but basic, no electric but cheaper and a pub nearby
3hrs30h from Dunkirk

Campingplatz „Horster Ruhrbrücke“
Tel. 01797942179 - Fax 0201-534482
In der Lake 24b (rechter Eingang)
45279 Essen-Horst

http://www.camping-hohensyburg.de/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
3hrs 45 from Dunkirk
Camping Hohensyburg
Inhaberin: Inge Weitkamp
Syburger Dorfstraße 69
D-44265 Dortmund-Hohensyburg
Telefon: +49 (0)2 31 / 77 43 74
Fax: +49 (0)2 31/77 49 554

Around same area as the one above.
Campingplatz Ruhrtalblick
Dellwiger Weg 8
58640 Iserlohn
Deutschland

This camping search engine is pretty good and lists loads of Stellplatz on its map search page.
http://www.camperado.com/mapsearch/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I’ve based my search around Duisburg, Germany

And don’t forget the offer of hospitality from Paderborn

4hrs35 from Dunkirk

"educated world" eh! You might notice that I've corrected the grammar and spelling in the quote above!

Large sections of Russia, China and Canada also dig up their fuel for fires like we do. So you get you chainsaws out and cut down COAL trees do you? The rest of the educated world dig it up.
:ok

Ultimately we will end up in Amsterdam :pimp there is a great campsite their that a few of my mates have stayed at on some sort of island or something and only 15 minutes from the city center that we have wanted to try for ages. There are a few national parks in Germany on the way to Holland, http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/c ... d_high.png" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and we do like a forest to have a night or two in. So all in all we will be doing the event, hooking up with another van (katie and Kayleigh) who are over in Germany doing another show the same weekend, doing the tour hopefully on the Monday, heading across the national parks for a couple of nights, maybe wild camp a night near some windmills in a spot Jake knows of, couple of nights in Amsterdam then across belgium might stop at Luven for an afternoon because i like it their, and a night in france possibly. Cant wait, we have purposely not booked anywhere because the best places we have ever been to are the ones we have found by accident if you know what i mean.

We have a campsite with capacity for as many as want to use it for a stop over on Wednesday night.

Ive spoken with:
Camping Park Ruhrtalblick
Margarete Schwarz
Dellwiger Weg 8
58640 Iserlohn - Drüpplingsen
E-Mail: info@ruhrtalblick.de
Telephone: +49 (2378) - 2768

And she seems happy to accomodate groups, and we can get electricity.

I imagine the group will fragment as the journey progresses, so shes expecting somewhere between 2-15 vans.

Thats where we will be heading for, and I think Axeman is joining us after his later ferry.
