location location location

Post by Mocki »

Can you all please update your profiles and make sure you have a sensible location listed in the location field
"On the naughty step" or "up norf" or even "miles away from here" doesnt count as a sensible location.
We are not asking you to give your house number, or even your street, nor your postcode, but your town or the nearest town to you please. So when people are trying work out where you are, if, say ,you have something for sale, need help, or are thinking of organising a meet, its really helpfull to know where poeple are, how many hours it is to consider driving to collect that elusive brown interior door handle is, or who might be local when you need to share the beers! A quick glance at the roadmap is loads less hassle that 4 pm's or emails before making a decision..

thanks in advance....... :ok

PS. ..and so we also know that our members are not all aliens from Mars [HM]

Click on 'User Control Panel' near the top LHS of the page. This will then open a page with several options/tabs, one of which is your 'Profile' tab. Click on that and it takes you to your profile page where you can fill in the necessary fields.

hi there. i have just joined the forum and i have actually edited the location to be less specific.
it seems as if the camper thieves are in full force and logging into this forum would be like a
catalogue for camper theft.

I somehow think unlikely, quite a few stolen are new to us and not members and those that are look like opportunistic (e.g. Alice's very sad snatch from a Trafford Park carp ark at 6pm)

Anyway, I can't iagine anyone trawling around a large connurbation for weeks looking for specific vehicle...

And at least have an ignition, fuel/inj pump or starter solenoid circuit breaker installed, make it at least a bit of hassle to start up (but some do seem to go straight on lorries)

Then you have a special exclusion clause to use (like the one you use for income tax etc :rofl )
