im 99% its a 1y...the 1.6 rocker cover is fixed along the edge .as the 1y is fixed down the center
also its a bosch pump so its not the aef..and the dipstick looks fitted as standard and not adapted from the other side

You can only turbo it if it states 1.9D/1.9TD on the block. You find the markings under the exhaust manifold. If it says that your ok, if it only states 1.9D then you can't as it doesn't have the cooling for the pistons.

I have fitted the same engine in my bus and can spot a couple of issues with yours, your coolant bottle doesn't appear to have the pipe connected to it to the expansion tank behind the service flap? The coolant bottle is supposed to be completely full and when it heats up it opens the valve on the blue dalek cap and puts the excess into the tank behind the service flap. Yours looks like it's just going to spew the excess out? Also the dipstick is wrong, has it been marked properly so you can check the oil in it?

Just trying to help mate. :ok

It does have the 1.9D/TD markings on the block :) yipppeeeee!!

Ok I'll check out the pipe tonight when I get home and I don't know about the dipstick at all. I'll have a look at that too!! I'll let you know tomorrow. Thanks for the advice though :)

Your first job before anything else should be to drop all the oil and replace the oil filter and top up with the correct amount

Right, will do! That's if I know where to fill to. Unless you know exactly how much it should take so I can measure it?
