Aaz 1.9td thermostat hose to metal return pipe.

Post by Nathan290 »

Hi all, I have an aaz 1.9td fitted to my van. It came already converted.

I have an issue with the thermostat to metal return hose, it's leaking where it's connected to the plastic thermostat housing.

The hose is a great fit on the return pipe, but you can see that the hose was just a tad too big on the thermostat housing, it was never going to last.

I was wondering what others have done with this hose?

I was thinking of just taking the hose off, measuring the thermostat housing, same the metal pipe, from inspection they are both different diameters. Then getting two lengths of hose and joining in the middle wity hopefully a reducer.

I was wondering if others have got around this any other way?

Regards Nathan

a picture of your hose set up would help a lot, it doesn't sound right from your description
