subaru conversion

Post by shaunyp »

Hi all, i hope your all keeping well, i own a t25 and during lockdown i have fitted a 2.0l subaru engine, the problem i`m having is that it will start every time but if i rev it straight away it wants to cut out, but if i leave it for 5mins it`ll run ok, some times it`ll stop running when i leave it running then wont start, its driving me mad. Please can anyone put me in the right direction as what to do?

Thanks. Shaun.

Any error codes reported?

Is the cutting out a spluttering stumbling type (could be fuel related) , or immediate shutdown (could be electrical ) ?

Hi slowcoach, Thanks for getting back to me, the engine just stutters then cuts out then wont even start, i had my OBD checker on it and it mentioned the throttle body sensor,

I'd start with that then maybe unplug it and clean its contacts first, see if that makes a difference. No other codes reported?
I get any engine parts from import car parts, if you do need a new sensor.
