2.5 V6 TDI

Evening all,

This is my 1st post as I’m a newbie, I hoping I can get some advice.

On Saturday I purchased an F reg T25 which has been converted to a Passat 2.5 V6 TDI. It runs but there’s still a lot to sort out (wiring, gear change isn’t perfect).
If I post some images can anyone tell me how well the jobs been done?

Thanks, Ollie

Hi Ollie, do you know what the gearbox setup is ? If it's a T3 box with SA bellhousing, the linkage is should be a regular T3 one, so normal adjustment procedures should work. However, there are several variations of gearbox mountings, and if they were mix-and-matched wrongly this would adversely affect the shifting. As far as wiring goes, I'm quite familiar with the engine wiring from that platform, so should be able to advise/assist.

I believe it’s running the Passat box. Will try and get some images up tomorrow of the setup.

Hi Ollie, if its a an upside-down gearbox from a passat, it may be using parts from Ultimate Engineering (Tim Shettle) possibly he could advise further, or there may be FB group or summat where folks who are into that sort of thing hang out. I know very little, being a Syncro owner its never been an option of interest. OTOH, V6 wiring is something I can definitely assist with.
