Aftermarket tachometer recommendations for AAZ?

Post by DiscoDave »

As it says really, has anyone fitted an aftermarket tacho to their AAZ engined bus? And recommendations or things to look out for!

You'd need a diesel-specific one obviously as the alt signal frequency is completely different, and adjustability would be essential to cope with varying pulley sizes.

I bought one of these adapters at the classic car show last year which allows you to run any tacho from a diesel alternator W wire. Guy who makes them is ultra helpful. Not got round to fitting it yet, still on the to do list
