Service kit following engine conversion

Post by VWMartin »

Hi guys my T25 has had a 1z engine conversion and I'm finding it hard to source service parts with just the engine number.

Anyone know where is best to get some decent priced stuff for it all in one go? Rather than eBay or buying from different suppliers.

Thanks. Martin.

can you get the reg number of the donor car? always useful for service items - you can just put the reg number into GSF or EuroCarParts

Golf MK3 TDI around 1994
Passat B4 1.9 TDI same era

That will get you to a page on Euro Car Parts but without a registration there are still choices.
Pretty sure these have a canister oil filter (not element)
Same goes for the diesel filter
I know it isn't ideal but order 'click & collect' but when you collect, take your old oil/diesel/air filters and check before paying.
I say click & collect because if you just go into a EuroCarParts outlet, the parts are more expensive.

Oil (4.5 litres)
Sump bung washer
Oil filter
Air filter
Diesel filter
Tappets are hydraulic (so no shims)
8 litres of G12 equivelent antifreeze (5 yearly)

As far as the engine goes: the rest of it is investigate and report (cam belt/tensioners) auxiliary belt, water pump etc.
Then service checks on the rest of the vehicle.

Hey guys - again thanks for all the help - turns out all the service stuff was as per the original vans 1.6d spec and not the conversion.
