JX turbo intake for AAZ conversion
Help............ Ive searched on Wiki and seen a photo of a rubber banjo that then allowed the JX turbo air intake to be fitter under the engine mount. Im so closed to finishing our conversion and Im stuck on how to contect the air intake and what to use. Can anyone give me any more details for an AAZ conversion using JX parts too. Pretty please thankyou x x

Re: JX turbo intake for AAZ conversion
just use the aaz intake
Re: JX turbo intake for AAZ conversion
Dont think the AAZ will fit because of the angle of the engine and the engine mount...... I dont want the air intake to be next to the exhaust either??? Confused.com
Re: JX turbo intake for AAZ conversion
mine has aaz inlet manifold and jx exhaust manifold.
the air filter housing sits in the rear corner behind the light cluster.
had to make up all the air ducts out of bits of exhaust pipe and hose.

Hi,
Mine has jx inlet manifold, exhaust manifold and turbo on the aaz. That was a straightforward way to put it together. Cheers.

1989 Magnum(?) Multivan LHD German Import was JX, now AAZ
Re: JX turbo intake for AAZ conversion
The AAZ manifold will fit no probs, the ports are a different shape on the JX manifold and its not best to use this on the AAZ engine.
When i did mine i had the AAZ manifold modified so the inlet from the turbo entered at the same place as it did on the JX, and while i was at it i had the origional inlet welded up.
It looks factory and works great with the air filter box fitting in its origional position.
Any engineering firm should be able to do this for you.
