Re: Child's bed
Hi dont know what van youve got - but i made this bunk in the forward section of the pop top over the cab for our son and he is fine up there. If you had a high top I guess you could something similar.

Re: MOT failure :( please help
Thanks. Will get some better pictures on sunday. So cut out rot and patch over for now to get through MOT. Is it better to patch over the cut out and weld up like a plaster or cut a piece of steel the same size as the cut out and but weld and grind back thus making it invisible? Trying to think of ...

Re: How much paint

I grew up with it and yes it has its uses but you will struggle , just get some 2 pack and blow it, but be aware that if i was to look to repair it afterwards then this would increase the price as thge previouse repairs and paint would all have to come off mm I am under the imp...

Re: side windows
Depends on if whats in there, and what you have to go in, are the same size and shape. If they are all original VW it should be easy, but I doubt they are, different converters will have used different shapes/sizes from different suppliers. I bought a sliding door to replace mine - already with a wi...

Re: Cheap campsites
I agree totally - we have found that following your nose is best! We rarely use motorways as in the van A roads are much nicer!! Often we dont book. We have a rule that any campsite with a brown tourist signpost is best best avoided - we look out for handmade signs and youd be amazed how many there ...

Re: Popped my JX cherry today!
Working on T3's day in day out I can safely say the JX is a much better engine. Spare parts availability is miles better as similar engines are used in so many other vehicles. Sadly the same cant be said of the wbx. Agreed the double belt system is an abortion but easily remedied with a new smaller...
