Re: 1.6 td jx engine won't shut off
This will almost certainly be the stop solenoid... there will be a tiny bit of dirt (even a very tiny bit can cause this) stopping it fully shutting. Ive usually found just taking it out and putting it bak in usually stops it.

what size hubcaps
Im looking at some domed hubcaps on fleabay. the lady is selling as her ex left them behind and she knows nothing about them except that they are 10" in diameter.
Is there any way I can check that they are not for the early wheels?

Re: URGENT help... please! Battery issue, out camping.
mmm if it is the battery itself making the noise - it might have had it, they sometimes make a fizzing/buzzing noise when theyve had it and you try and charge them.
I would get her to disconnect the battery to be on the safe side.

Re: window seals converted panel van
well ive had a good look now and measured the old seals and glass etc. all glass / sliding frames is 4mm - so I think 4.75mm channel will be fine for that. for body panels it lists one as suitable for 0.8 - 1.2mm panels which I think is about right? which leaves the one opposite the sliding door whi...

I am thinking this is the best size channel: glass groove - 4.75mm Body work groove - 0.6-1.2mm However the window opposite the sliding door has a glass-fibre liner piece that ...

Re: removing ovespray....
Thanks guys, it is not too heavy, but a section of it is 'solid' rather than speckled. Im less worried about the seal, it could do with a new one anyway. I have G3 and G5 in the garage any way, but im pretty sure itll need 800/1200 wet and fry first, dont think a cutting compound will do it - and I t...

removing ovespray....
I had the primer put on the van yesterday, but to my horror have realised that we missed the corner of the pop top when masking up. :( This means I now have 2 pack primer on the pop top seal and a patch of overspray on the roof. Paint on the roof is ok, just needs a good flat and polish. what is the...
