Re: 85 watt Solar panels used

I would be really interested to learn where and howyou mount them. I have a panel about the same size sitting in my garage and fitting it to the van is on my to do list. If you post back when you get them mounted I would be grateful.

Charging Battery While Connected + New Charge Point

Hello everybody, hope you are all enjoying the decent(ish) weather we are having and getting out (or working on) your vans. I wonder if anyone can give me some advice please - there are two related parts to this question as follows: Part 1 - Is it okay for me to charge the vehicle battery (using a b...

Re: air duct

Thanks, and a big shout to coolairvw.co.uk who said: Hi Stuart, It’s not a item we sell unfortunately, I believe second hand only, but looks like it should be 63.4mm wide x 930mm long according to ETKA. We do sell 60mm x 1000mm aluminium air hose, our part number is 028129087B, which could be adapte...

Re: air duct

Also, your duct appears to be longer, mine ends in the engine bay, is it normally stuffed up the cavity going up to the side air vent?

Actually looks like it needs to be 65mm ID.

Re: air duct

I have exactly the same question . Mine is reinforced with sticky tape, it might be upgraded to duck tape if I can't find a replacement. It appears to be about 700mm long (though mine is in 2 sections). There are some promising results on eBay however not sure which to order as internal dim is 60mm ...

Re: Installing electric hookup

I got myself a kit from somewhere - it was pretty straightforward - had to cut a hole in the side of the van and the biggest pain in the backside was fitting the distribution unit or whatever it is called in the wardrobe. I am no electrician but you can do it if you have common sense... :ok A kit li...

I am looking to buy an interior unit for my van. I have seen this one on eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/141260448745" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Has anyone bought one of these before and do you know if they are any good? Does anyone know any other places you can buy the...

Re: Swivel seat bases = save your money ;)

Good tip..... but I wouldn't fancy trying swapping seats using that method after a few pints....! And also can't be done on the drivers side if you have furniture that side :0( I have just bought and fitted two swivels for my van.. really easy to fit and no problems swivelling them as long as you mo...

How big is your water tank?

Just seen this thread which is kind of related, but not exactly. Thought I'd post specifically about water tank size . http://forum.club8090.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=123406 We have ditched the on-board tank in our Autohomes Kamper (which is around 90 / 100 litres I think?) in favour of adding ...

We bought a Bluebird Customs bed for our bus. Not yet had the three point belts fitted but the bed itself is really nice and solid and have no worries about it.

Re: Inflatable awning?

Well picked up the smaller one (Kela) at DubDayz. Didn't really mean to buy one yet but got a lot more trips planned with me and the (young) kids so rapid one-person pitching is a bonus. I'll be using it next weekend so will report back (and my big tunnel drive-away will doubtless be up for sale so...
