Re: LED Headlight options

In the uk you cannot legally just stick a led headlight bulb in a headlight that should be halogen . You must fit the complete headlight unit and you should have headlight washers and self levelling according to to legislation CVC are greedy at that money for sure https://www.gov.uk/government/publ...

Re: Rock and Roll Bed with Caravelle Cushions

What colour caravelle GL interior? The blue balear velour seems more common and do crop up.

The full width rock and roll caravelle seats aren't easy to find.

Show us some pics using the image button next to the smiley emoji button.

Re: New front seats

I was going to mention the late captain's seats are great for me at 6'. But it seems we might be looking elsewhere

Re: Light grey HH caravelle velour material

My seats have the two patterns. Fits and grid.

It was a conversation about folding buddy seats, and how I would never find some in the HH material.

Looking at retrimming a Westy toilet box.

Light grey HH caravelle velour material

A while back, in a discussion about buddy seats, a forum user mentioned they had some of this fabric.

The post is long gone, and I didn't take note of the username.

Anyone help me?

Re: Inner sill rust - bad?

Significant rust in a significantly structural position. Certainly an MOT failure as it's right by the trailing arm mount point.

I'd suggest you could put your thumb through there.

Press with the handle end of a screwdriver and listen for the crunch.

Does the bus go with you in one week? It's an easy job. Certainly wouldn't take a week to fix.

Re: Starting procedure 2.1 DJ engine.

As above, the only thing I would add is I turning on the ignition and listening for the fuel pump charging up the pressure before cranking. It's only a few seconds.

Should catch and settle to idle immediately.

This has piqued my interest. After a long period of inactivity my blower no longer works, just blows the fuse.

Before I start pulling the dash apart, is it common for the switch to give out? That would be an easier fix...

Re: A Pillar lip bending advice

There are special crimping tools for doing door skins. Perhaps that would work. You're tight for space so swinging a hammer at it will be problematic. You could maybe make a chas/drift to gently knock it in. I would be thinking of wooden pieces of varying thickness and profile that I could knock in ...
