Re: Oil flushing

If it we were me i would get the engine up to temp, drop the oil and filter , refill with a cheapo 15/40 mineral oil and a new filter and run it for 200 miles and then drop it again and put a new filter on and some good 15/40 mineral oil .
No need to buy flushing liquids , use cheap oil

Take the grill off and undo the four screws that hold the headlight frame to the van , then undo the adjusters

Re: Round Glass Headlight Fixing for VW T25

You wont get a new glass i wouldnt think …… whole light unit only

As for better lighting, do the relay upgrade , and add nightbreaker bulbs.

Re: Round Glass Headlight Fixing for VW T25

The glass is glued onto the reflector , and is not held in by the metalwork to the best of my knowledge .

Re: Carburettor Problems

First thing you need to do. Is check all the vacuum hoses in the engine bay , especially the two on the back of the carb that you cannot see .
Start with the sim-low stuff that costs nothing first before rushing out and spend £400 on a carb (if you can find one )

Re: Temp gauge gone from working to working differently (Or not)

Unplug the gauge sender and bridge the connections in the plug, this should give you a FSD on the gauge and red flashing over temp light if the wiring is all good , which will point at the sender being faulty ….. if not its a wiring issue , more than likely due to the work carried out near by displa...

Re: Solar panel question

Whilst its a fact that if you point the panels at the sun they work better, its royal pain in the a*** , i just decided to have more wattage and fit them on the roof and forget about them , with a decent mppt controller and a pair of 120w panels in series i get 120w at 40v in full sun, but get much ...
