Re: AAZ diesel pump
£600 plus to get a diesel specialist to rebuilt it , it’s not a quick job to do it properly, has the pump be stored full of fuel?

Re: aaz pulley bolt socket
It’s just a 12 point socket which should be in most socket sets, you don’t usually need to undo it to do the cam belt , just the 4 hex bolts

Re: Tensioner Slipping after Belt (and Tensioner) Change
It’s a spring loaded tensioner right? It will move around, have you reset it once turning the engine over by hand a couple of times ?

Re: Rust in engine area
The rust looks to be the exhaust heat shield and weather shields, they aren’t part of the structure and and removable ( screwed on) and replaceable

Re: Running rough after sitting for 3 months
Don’t “fix” random stuff , the fuel is pretty much certainly stale , put a few fresh gallons in and run it for a while

Re: Petrol in the engine case.
So I have just spent a couple of hours playing with fuel system. I found a small fuel leak which I have remedied. I've taken my regulator apart and all is spot on with that. The engine now runs but the fuel pressure is only 1psi which I would assume is not enough!. So I'm now thinking my cheap £14 ...
