Re: Welding rods

Never tried welding or heard of this method, but would imagine a protective visor is still adviseable.

Re: Water ingress in cab

Mine leaks on the near side, seaps in somewhere, and if I park on uneven ground with the offside lower and it rains heavy, it leaks on that side.

Re: Fibre glass repair kits

Still progressing with bottom of door repairs, cut offending piece off and trying to patch. Is this an MOT failure if left untidy. Looking on line for replacement doors but looks as if they all rot in the same area.

Re: Fibre glass repair kits

Thanks, wondering if the matting I have is for a different purpose, it still requires the resin and hardener but does not separate so much as the strand type.

Exactly, no place to secure them to on the engine, believe this is quite common dependant on engine type.

There was only one hanger/s...

There are other mats in the kit which look more easy to apply I think they are referred to as fibre glass tissue, are these just as good and s...

Re: Fuse no 7 on 12 fuse panel

Thanks Robsey, the links between the fuses explains a lot. I replaced no7 fuse after disconnecting the ciglighter in case it did serve other areas.👍

Fuse no 7 on 12 fuse panel

Fuse no 7 had blown on fuse panel behind glove box. Thought this was cig lighter as that was not working, on replacing no7 fuse it did work. But according to my Haynes no7 is for the radfan only. I have disconnected the Red pos cable from back of ciglighter as suspect it is shorting. Can't think tha...

Re: Arrgghh. Self amalgamating tape.

Some tapes are easier than others I found, even tried heating the corner gently with a lighter to try and separate them.
