Re: Audi V8 Alloys

Thanks Steve I have seen a pic of them but havent got it to forward. The centre bore is defo 70mm with plastic spigot rings to take it down for the Audi. The ET he is fairly sure is 35 which i think would work. If i needed spacers not sure how that would affect them. Cheers Kev Genuine Audi wheels ...

Re: Audi V8 Alloys

Hi Been looking at some alloys from a Audi V8, anyone fitted any? Know centre bore is large enough, on FB been told may have to drill holes larger and fit spacers? They are 8x17 running 225 45 tyres Cheers Kev A photo or link to the alloys in question would help? Take what you've been told on FB wi...

Re: Can't fit the spare wheel under the van !!!!!

I have a set of 14" Carat's on the van including a spare, I was doing routine maintenance and checked the spare wheel for pressure etc and noticed that it was a 185 R14 tyre compared to 205 R14 tryes that I have fitted to the rest of the van. There's the problem right there....standard steels ...

Maybe if they're 20" tyres but certainly not when it comes to 14" tyres!
The most expensive 185R14C's(Michelin Agilis) are only £69....budget Nankangs are only £45 with Goodyear Cargos in the middle at £52!

Re: ok another wheel question

my 17x7" t5 steel wheels have an offset of 56mm and I have 15mm adaptors so I have an effective offset of 41mm. which is pretty much spot on, and they look right on the arches too. ET41 and 7" wide wheels isn't really 'spot on' ? I say that because 5.5" T25 steel wheels are ET39 and ...

Re: 18 inch tyre recommendations

235/50/18's are 6.13%(40mm) bigger than the standard 14" set up so you're gearing would be altered. 235/45/18's would be the better option as they're just 2.61%(17mm) larger. Saying that though if you're van is lowered by more than 50mm you run the risk of tyre to front wheel arch contact. Sorr...

Re: 235/70/16 wheel and tyres

hi steve I am currently running on 225 45 17s on the front now and 245 45 17s on the back with no issues with clearance or turning so I thought with going down an inch in wheel size I thought it would have been ok.cheers dave :ok Even though 16's are an inch smaller, the tyres need to match the stan...

Re: Porsche 928 s4 7 slot wheels knowledge appreciated :-)

Thanks for reply, I know these wheels fit because I''ve seen many t3's with them on, I even posted a link in the post of a van with them on .I wouldn't waste money or time buying a set of wheels that i wasn't sure would fit. As this porsche wheel is a semi popular choice, I wondered if anyone on th...

Re: Porsche 928 s4 7 slot wheels knowledge appreciated :-)

You really should have asked those questions before buying the alloys....

The offset should be stamped into the alloys and the same applies to the width as well.

As soon as you know them, then we may be able to advise you on how to fit the alloys....if they fit at all......

Re: Will 15" of a 2002 Passat Work without mods?

but my question is will the fit straight on?? No.....99% of non standard T25 alloys don't fit straight on. Centre bore will need enlarging. Offset is too high so spacers are required. Longer rear studs and front bolts required. Oh and they won't be load rated for van that can weigh almost 2.5 ton.

Re: What tyres

It might help to say what width and offset(ET) the alloys are so we can give you an idea what tyres will best suit your van? If they're 7.5" wide then 225/50/17's will be perfect and they are load rated to 98(750kgs)...more than enough for a T25. 215/55/17's can also be used and they're also av...
