Re: Camper Jam Syncro rides for charity 6-7 July

We prob have the marshals, cajolers and helpers, sorted really.
But it would be nice for a couple more syncro owners to volunteer to spread the load.

Just waiting to hear back that we have the green light then I need an email from each of you that I haven’t already got on my radar...

Re: Camper Jam Syncro rides for charity 6-7 July

Yes. But it seemed as if “if I am not on call”. So was “if possible” It would be nice if 2 or 3 others could step up so the ones that always do it can get chance to see the show too. I think last time I managed to get away for an hour to see what was about. Previous years I never left camp till it w...

Re: Camper Jam Syncro rides for charity 6-7 July

We really could do with a few more drivers to do a stint, it takes the pressure off those that always do this charity event, If you just do 1 session, we would be more than grateful. :ok Any interested parties that want to find out more about it can PM me, so you don't have to publicly commit right...

Re: Camper Jam Syncro rides for charity 6-7 July

No charity yet.. it’s a discussion we need to have. Worth considering James. No idea what stuff costs down on the “entertainments” To be able to run 4 vans per session (the optimum number to keep the flow and not keep stopping on laps) we need a few vans if you only want to drive 1 session.. the mor...

Camper Jam Syncro rides for charity 6-7 July

Hi We had a break last year but I would like to try and run this again. Apparently we were missed. So.. Primarily, I am looking for Syncro drivers willing to ferry passengers around the awesome little quarry at Weston Park over the course of the weekend Your van will possibly get quite dirty, it wi...

Re: Rear drums to discs - Ultimate Engineering

Just a kit of the conversion parts, you will need caliper carriers, calipers, discs and pads.
Just about to install a kit on a 2.1 auto that’s also getting a 2.5 scoob in the back.

Re: JX to AAZ - bigger tyres???

215r14 is about the biggest tyre that will go on a 5.5” rim. There have been quite a few running this size. “Billy numbers” has run that size for many years on the back of his Pug 2.2 powered van. (And sorry if this seems like a blatant plug, they are going on the sale pages shortly) I have 3 firest...

Re: Fitting my new engine going well.

Spent today fitting my new 2.1 on carb + lpg Well I am chuffed. Initial tests are very encouraging. I filled up with oil and turned the engine over just using the starter (no plugs) Took several 15 second bursts but the oil light went out, and a healthy 60psi pressure (wet guage) on the crank. Cold...

Re: Input/spigot shaft play.

There is always “play”. Just depends how much. Is the input seal leaking?? If not then it’s fine. If it’s leaking the oil thrower scroll is prob damaged. Bellhousing should come off to inspect scroll and shaft properly.
