andy at kingsway motors in swansea are very very good vw specialists.
they did my box for me last year, i supplied it and they charged me 90 quid to fit it. how bad is your box fella???

just fitted my new improved (read working!!) propex heater and i can honestly say its wicked!!! bought from eberbasto on ebay. top sevice too.

if your going to the expense of a rebuild why not get a set of recon or new heads from a remanufacturer? it makes sense in the long run.

i got a 5400 rev cut out on my 2000cc Aircooled motor chap and never go near it wilst on the road. all you will do if you fit one is prevent your motor from overrevving.

no but i just fitted a pair of dellorto 36drlas to a Aircooled type 4 which is basically what you have.
try raceshack for some advice fella
