Re: Camping in van at Clumber park yorkshire

The caravan club site at Clumber does allow camper vans (I think they all do?) but it's always well booked in advance. Many moons ago (about 30 years back) we used to wild camp in Clumber for weekends but I think it's frowned upon now

Re: Stereo wiring help, please

Go to your Leisure fuse box and start again... Type the model etc of your stereo into Google and get the diagram for what wire is what, then start from there

Re: Fridge Query RM212F

What fridge have you got? It can take quite a while to cool one right down on gas.. Has it ever worked before? The general method I use is plug into 240 at home the day before, travel on 12v then switch to gas when i get where I'm going - makes the most of the useable options. Why can you only run o...

Re: T25 Water spigot wanted

1989 system is, as far as I know, the latest version. Give Brickwerks a bell or an email, have your chassis number to hand and they'll sell you the proper part (unlike some other suppliers.....). You'll get to know their website quite well when you've had your van a while... 1990 was when the T4 wen...

Re: T25 Water spigot wanted

T3 and T25 are the same thing by different names... I won't drag it up again, but refer to it as a T3 on Brickwerks / BrickYard

Hope you get sorted. If Brickwerks can't help it might be worth a call to VW Heritage

Re: Suspension modification

Hmmm, planning on lowering it by 55mm and from the trial fit of the wheels not sure if spacers are pos 'cause of the proximity of the arch ? Will probably have to lower then trial fit again in reality then take it from there. Surely you'd be better modifying the wheel arches than chopping bi...

They're wasting their time then

Trust what has been said already, it's sound advice. If you want to fit hook up there's a thread or two on how to do it and what to buy, but it sounds like you won't really need it

Re: metal cover for rear exhaust box

I've only ever seen them on TD engines to be honest, so it sounds like you're onto a good thing. I think they are probably a bit scarce now as they were quite thin metal (if I'm thinking of the right bit...) Multivan sound deadening kit iirc. £30 isn't a massive amount of money these days, doesn't g...

Re: Water system

16 litres isn't a lot of water for the effort involved, imho. In the 5+ years we've had our van, we've used the on board water tank once I think, that was the first time out in it  Tend to just carry a couple of Large containers which we can stash under the van when parked up, it's a lot less ...

Re: metal cover for rear exhaust box

Is it for the right exhaust and do you need one? If you don't need it, then it's not worth 30 quid, if you do need it then I guess it's on the money
