Re: MOT checklist
Checklists are all well and good, but it's down to which side of the bed the tester got out of! Take it down, pay your £40 and then you've got 2 weeks (10 working days) to worry about the odd bit of rust and wonky headlights!

Anyone know where I can have the underneath stonechipped?
In the past I've sprayed waxoil on the belly of my van, but this year I'd like to beast it and get a professional to do a proper job. Does anyone know anywhere in the south easy that does a full on hot jet wash and re seal with proper stone chip paint?

It sounds more like you have a misfire. Is everything a little hot in there? Mine was like you described, judders and top speed of 40 at a push. If your HT leads have the metal sheaths then remove them first!

Re: T25 Fuel injection engine (water-cooled) keeps cutting out.
Lorhob, Spookily on the day you posted this thread I had exactly the same problem, the only difference being that when mine is running the battery light comes on intermittently and stays on. Instead of creating a new thread, here's what I posted on the Facebook page, so could you please keep us upd...

Another thing I'd like to add is that I have a 2.1DJ in my camper running on a single carb and it's an absolute joy! All the torque and grunt of a 2.1 but the simplicity of a 1.9!

Re: Topics required to be put in the T25 Tech Wikipedia
Having seen a few 2.1 bad running posts today, with lots of folks scratching thier heads, I'd like to add somewhere in the relevant wiki section that removing the metal sheaths off the spark end of the HT leads if they are present sorted out months of turmoil for my 2.1MV and could have saved me £hu...

Try removing the metal sheaths off the ends of the HT leads.

Re: T25 Fuel injection engine (water-cooled) keeps cutting out.
It could be the HT leads if you've got the ones with the metal sheath over the spark plug end. Remove those sheaths, which are only there to prevent interference with your AM radio signal, and see if the running improves. My van was running like a one legged dog because wayward sparks were arching o...

Re: London Eberspacher garage
Problem I had with my propex was due to leisure battery not having enough juice. All interior lights were fine and everything but as soon as I plugged into hook-up the heater suddenly fired into life.

Hi and welcome!
First off CANCEL YOUR BOOKING AT JACKS! You'll get a rubbish service and pay through the nose for it.
For your location I can recommend Riverside Autos in Plumstead. They're an all types garage, but the owners are total VW nuts and build race cars from old Aircooled.

Re: Upper ball joint removal - tricky or not?!
Tops are easy. The two 8mm allen bolts will give you jip, but the new joints will have new bolts so unless they come undone on the first tug just hacksaw them off. I think it's a 20 or 22mm bolt on the bottom, and a ring spanner is best as it'll probably need hammering and then a splitter to pop it ...
