Re: LP's, turntables and PC's
Go a step further and join a streaming site. I use Spotify premium at £9 per month (ask a your family /friends if they're on it and you could be able to use the half price multi user offer), which gives me unlimited searching and playback. Whatever the mood, it's on there. There are the odd black sp...

Re: What tool makes the groove in wood for T-trim
OK, seems I need to just get a smaller set of router bits and a router with a smaller guide (which screwed have their own brand for £35). I've ordered some samples of the wood and will start clearing the van soon. The next decision is keep with the rock n roll brackets and wood frame or go for one o...

What tool makes the groove in wood for T-trim
Hi all.. I'm going to take my soggy old reimo interior out and use it as a template to make new out of pre laminated ply. Try as I might, I can't find out what tool is used to create the groove on the edge that the T-trim will slot into. I imagine it's some form of router, but the one I have would n...

Re: Anyone know of a good garage in South East London/Kent
If you can make it another 20 mins up to Hackney then J C Motors is the best! But, if you want to stay in the deep dark south then try Riverside Autos in Plumstead.

Re: Respray - rough cost?
I've done the roller job on my van, twice and now staring down the barrel of needing to do it a third time. I recommended it as an impartial option, but now that opinion has been given thought I'd add my 2 pence. Don't do it!

Re: brake light failure
Could simply be a bad earth under the dash, on the nearside A pillar; They often fur up in the colder, damper months. Theres a section in the wiki. Or, quite possibly the switch(s), which are located in the master cylinder under the steering wheel. Check the connections to them and if still not work...

Undo two M4(?) Phillips screws, lift out the pack, pop in a new one, job done.
I wrote off an alternator by snapping one of those screws, so be careful!

Either have a crack at this method http://wiki.club8090.co.uk/index.php/Bodywork_and_Glass_Roller_painting" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; which realistically will cost you about £100 and a couple of weekends graft, or get a few quotes from local garages with good Google rev...

Re: Anyone know where I can have the underneath stonechipped?
OK, good info guys.
The much discussed Aldi compressor is in my local and discounted quite alot, so I think I'll use the link provided, buy some kit and continue doing it myself once the weather warms up.

Elvis has a full volvo conversion for sale. With flatbed vans there is so much room to play with, so go as mad as your wallet allows. Search on YouTube and see what some of the headcases in Europe have done.

A bit of a journey, but if your van can handle it you should go to see Len and his sons at J C Motors in Hackney.

http://forum.club8090.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=149363 I meant to text you this the other day Sam. It would be the best option in terms of labour and that, and would leave you cash for the replacement heat exchanger(s) and top end rebuild. Or go mad, get the angle grinder on the rear valance a...

Re: Hot air?
Mine takes about 2-3 miles to blow warm and this is way before the temp gauge needle has started to rise. At full running temperature the needle on both my vans temp gauges sit just to the right of centre and the air blows positively hot. To my understanding, the coolant system on these engines is q...

Re: MOT checklist
Is that actually true though? Gone are the days of dodgy MOT's. Is it still really down to how the mechanic is feeling on the day of whether he passes your Van or leaves with £1000 welding job. I had the welding done last year so Im not expecting any issues there. My guy is pretty lenient. He still...
