Re: Identifying / replacing sliding windows

Thanks guys- Aidan that's really interesting thanks for the info [emoji106] Under the ill fitting metal window frame I can see the moulded steel sheet pressing of the sliding door recess for the window, returning back into the van ie its not just a cut hole into the surface of the door. ( Since you ...

Yes, both panes can be slid, on both sides of the van

Re: Identifying / replacing sliding windows

Thanks fellas, Yeah pretty odd really. From some reading earlier, the sliding doors early/late have different width apertures (same height). The non slider side is the same though. The JK one states in quite small text that it's 85 onward. I wonder if anyone is making early slider windows then. I'll...

Identifying / replacing sliding windows

Hi, Weve had these windows in since the start, which have been fine but now showing their age with some split seals, bit of a weep, and very stubborn movement.  Its a trakka conversion.  Its a factory camper, with pressed window recesses. looks pretty weird now i look at it! https://i.imgur.com/mUZ7...

You could ring HDC Subaru in hebden bridge, he has quite a stock of old used parts [emoji106]

Re: Subaru Fuel Pump Recommendations

Oh yes! I remember you well [emoji106] that was a lovely van, Subaru gearbox too right ?

We pass that layby every few months and always comment.

I'm glad you're still with it [emoji106]

Re: Subaru Fuel Pump Recommendations

I'm not sure about the 3.0, but importcarparts do all OEM Subaru parts and is very reliable. I'd email them and ask, or just use the parts lookup to see what's stock.

For our 2.0 we use the stock VW 2.1 pump.

Re: 3.9kg Propane Bottle Shortage

We use the annoying and small campinggaz 904 cylinders. £42 in July a refill! I just had a letter from flogas saying it had dropped to £30. Still bloody crazy... But a little less so [emoji20]

Re: No power from Alternator to Leisure batteries.

You can do a lot of problem solving with a multi meter, have you got one?

Finding where the power stops for example. alt to charger? alt to split charge relay? relay to leisure battery? etc..

Re: No power from Alternator to Leisure batteries.

Hiya, Since you've got easy access to that blackened resistor, try measuring that for continuity with a meter. It should have some both ways (doesn't look like a diode, unless I'm wrong). I don't know about those chargers though, but that's an easy start [emoji106] Sent from my Pixel 4 using Tapatalk
