Re: The T3200E thread

Spotted and rectified at the last minute, wood/trees and all that...interwarmer hose was too close to the exhaust header for comfort, so off it came again and heat reflective sleeving applied.

Re: Oil leak back of engine t25 1988

Lift the engine hatch and get looking. Oil only runs down the engine. Could be the crankshaft seal behind the pulley, the breather tower O-ring, fuel pump gasket, oil pressure switch, oil pump cover..lots of things that can leak.
Assuming that its a wbx. Diesels leak in other places.

Re: 1.9wbx - Oil pump weep near oil pressure sensor?

Most likely the switch (its not a sensor) has failed and is passing oil. Replace immediately or they can suddenly let out a jet of oil when running.

Re: The T3200E thread

Its a busy little corner. The interwarmer has to have a spacer around 17mm thick in order to clear the engine mount, this also carries a VDO sender to monitor pump discharge temperature. Oettinger parts were re-used including the over-length oil delivery pipe. Because of the spacer, the pipe bends n...

Re: Engine number confusion

I asumed it was a hare, its a device commonly used by German (Vaillant) and other European companies, probably pagan in origin.

Interesting logo on the badge! Looks like a leaping hare in a circle, might have been the head or engine remanufacture company. google lens is no help.

Re: 2.1 DJ won't fire up after head rebuilds

I have a failed DJ ecu which just continually sprays fuel in and floods the engine, I guess that the transistors that fire the injectors (actually they short them to earth to energize the coil and inject fuel) have failed in the closed state.

Re: 1600ct wait what is this?

Hi everyone, So i just found an old picture of the engine bay from when the precious owner had it and before it was overhauled. There is something that i would like to know more about, why the two pipes in the picture goes out there in the right corner, now there is no such pipes 😄 https://www.thes...

This rings a bell. Engine that cranks with no fuel pump, but when not cranking the fuel pump works.
I can't remember the cause though. Faulty fuel pump relay?

Now thats one for the period-correct OEM accessory nerds. Count me in!

The part number must be in ETKA, in the T3 tools and accessories section?

PS I never expected a VAG jack to be made in England
