Re: Timing For E5 And E10 Petrol DJ2.1 Engine Query

From personal experience with my 1980 Mk 2 Moto Gucci Le Mans which was born to drink 100 octane or the old 5 star juice. Re: Historic MOT criteria

From memory I filled in the V10 and sent the paperwork to the DVLA. It didn't take long for it to be processed, I was quite surprised how efficient they were.

Good luck.

Re: Historic MOT criteria

I had to fill in V10 form. It's because your vehicles tax class class is changing.

See note A. of the link.

Re: Historic MOT criteria

You'll be tax free from 01/04/24.... I did the historic tax at the PO for the Moto Gucci. The very nice man sent the V5 off for me after asking I wanted 6 or 12 months tax for £0.00 :) . The camper was done via correspondence with the DVLA, I had the VW birth cert. and managed to get the Historic ta...

Some minute particles. A few small (1mm) wafer thin flakes to worry about or not? The cruise control worked its magic on the 130 miles (after 500 miles now :D) haul from Wiltshire to east Kent. Regards Stuart Does the cruise control have an empathetic running in setting? Personally, I'd prefer to b...

Re: 2.1 DJ won't fire up after head rebuilds

I was discussing the e10 petrol with a friend who delivers fuel from refineries and he was telling me that the water is more easily mixed with the fuel now with the higher ethanol content and is less likely to be visible separately. I only have his word, but seems it’s causing quite a few problems ...

I wouldn't rev the nuts off like that, causing everything to bounce and rattle around against it's self. Not good for the engine....
