Re: Subaru exhaust.. trial fit

Thanks Photo would be good - I might use the redundant mounting holes for the diesel cradle ... be useful to see yours tho as I think engine mounted reduces stress I picked up the 2017 RS Focus S Steel exhaust yesterday , - the chrome twin exit pipes are massive !!!! Fits between the engine and rear...

DH Gearbox ??? revvy or not ?

Hi

Am looking to relieve some stress by fitting a taller ratio gearbox

I currently have my original CS engine 4 speed gearbox ..... the DH isn't on the RJES guide

Aidan did suggest t=the best would be a DK - is the DH in same territory ?

Re: Subaru exhaust.. trial fit

Will do, I have alot on at the moment, so it may be a while till i get around to fitting but i will post how I get on - The twin pipes look good.... but its just seeing how the box can fit .... I will try to bracket it off the engine block rather then hang it off the body so theres no stress of flex

Subaru exhaust.. trial fit

Hi Prices of a bespoke proper system are staggering . I initially fitted a gsxr 1100 can with lambada to "get me going" - and I'm pleased with how it looks and sounds - well...maybe a bit on the noisy side under load - I'm now going to see how a ford focus ST exhaust works - It'll have the...

Re: JX to AAZ - bigger tyres???

Hi

I have mahoossive 225/80/14's on mine for the same reason

you can't go bigger - some would say its too big

it has the desired effect of being much less "revvy" at 70 though rather floaty around the corners ....

comfy ride though

Re: CAN bus Subaru Conversion video diary

No progress on this for a while. Been stupid busy with work and I'm waiting for more Scooby bits to sell to make funds for the project. Need a clutch before I fit the engine which I just can't afford until more of the bits from the car sell. I'm not actually sure what my gearbox code is, I haven't ...

Re: CAN bus Subaru Conversion video diary

Hi Just caught up with your progress. Thanks for posting and sharing :ok What code gearbox have you got ? Mine is the original 1.6CS gearbox and on the "revvy" side of things at 70/80...... even with my massive 225/80 tyres Although I like the lower gearing, living as I do in hilly brighto...

Re: 2 probe coolant level sensor ?

there is a 'relay' no 43 in position 3 that detects the change in resistance and with some wizardry it brings the high temp light on the dash without raising the gauge, low resistance pulses I think. I say 'relay' because is isn't a relay but looks like one Thanks for the reply - I see how it works...

2 probe coolant level sensor ?

Hi How does this work ? Having replaced my diesel with a petrol engine.... I now have a new expansion tank which has the 2 pin probes that sit in the water, and a redundant LED yellow glow plug light on the instrument panel. Im thinking.... if I put the live feed with in line yellow LED to one of th...

Re: New Radio fitting Help please!

It should turn off with the on/ off button

regardless of if supply is an ignition on feed or permanent live.

You sometimes have to hold the on switch for 2 secs before it will switch off.

Your fusebox will have both ign live and permanent live feeds to chose from
