Re: Propex heater in Autohomes conversions
i invested in a gaslow refillable bottle last year so dont worry about the gas cost now. so my 6kg refillable bottle will do 3 nights just about. 6kg lasts 3 nights  - Or have I misunderstood ? I used a SAFEFILL re-fillable bottle and was very pleased with it. Fill up at the LPG pump at the ...

Re: Windscreen Washer Jets
Bet there's a way round the "T". I can't remember where the T is, but if you can a new tube from the bottle to the top by "pulling through", then one can worry about the T afterwards,

Re: Windscreen Washer Jets
I'm thinking, if you can get hold of the top end of it, you could connect some new tubing ( securely ) to the old, then, from the bottom end, pull it through. E D I T = ps, this would perhaps be easier if the tubing was warm. If replacing the actual jets (recommended) don't buy "after market&qu...

I'm guessing, if you were to mount the unit inside the room, the only pipe that needs to go outside is the exhaust from the burner.

Re: Cabin Heaters, Diesel powered, new Chinese ones = any good ?
Cheers for the info Mark
You say you can get the Russian ones, how much to 80-90 members
Oh and how much is one of your re-furbed Diesel Webasto units (I know you can't advertise on here, but I can ask )

Re: Cabin Heaters, Diesel powered, new Chinese ones = any good ?
I just found some end user feedback on a boat forum HERE. They seem to like them. Plus there is a UK supplier posting on there = better to buy from a UK supplier than from China !!
I'm looking because my (hopefully) new van is a Diesel (the cooker and fridge can run off Calor bottles).

Cabin Heaters, Diesel powered, new Chinese ones = any good ?
You can now get cheap (£188) 3KW Diesel powered cabin heaters from China like THESE.
I am generally very suspicious of stuff from China having seen some right tat.
Anyone got any experience of these units ?

Re: Speedo reading about +10 mph
Is this how i wind back the mileage also!  I wouldn't know 8) What would have cause it to slip out of position? It won't have "slipped" out of position. I don't know why it's wrong, perhaps a previous owner has messed with it (clocking it ??) and re-assembled it wrongly? Dumb ...

Yes, it will be fine
1.5mm is good for around 19 Amps, a kettle is usually only 3Kw max = aprox 12 Amps

Re: Speedo reading about +10 mph
I replaced the Speedo able at the weekend and its now reading about 10mph too fast at 20mph. . Agree with CovKid = it's a speedo problem, but a fairly easy, though very delicate fix. Remove speedo. Very very carefully edge the "needle" over the top of it's "resting pin" Very Ver...

Re: Head Gaskets gone :(
Sorry to hear of this Emma :( So yours sounds like the fairly common head to case seal failure, rather than a blown head to liner gasket. You know that I know how you feel, as I have just gone through pretty much the same. I went down the "fit a decent used engine route". I also went down ...

Re: Did a dodgy thermostat kill my engine ??
Well just put another 40 miles on it, fast A roads and country lanes, no issues. Coolant stayed at a steady level, no bubbles or owt. Not counting my chickens yet though, I will use over the next few days and put at least another 100 miles on it, just to make sure it's all good. However, it will be ...
