Mine sat for 11 years, we drained the tank and fitted new fuel filter, oil filter an oil, fitted new battery and started and ran fine, bit noisy until the oil got up around the tappets.

Re: Vinyl seats??

got our's recovered a few years ago I was charged around £600 for all the panels, front seats, buddy seat and R+R bed , so probably about right price wise, we put a mattress cover on ours when using the bed or we will end up welded to the vinyl.

Re: Vinyl seats??

We retrimmed our komet with marine vinyl, and had no problems with it, very easy to keep clean just use a baby wipe. Local car trimmer did it. Heres some pice during the refit http://i470.photobucket.com/albums/rr62/slippy8v/IMG_1350.jpg http://i470.photobucket.com/albums/rr62/slippy8v/IMG_1335.jpg ...

Re: Hows the patient Dr Aidan?

300 mile up date, just did this over the weekend on various roads, and every thing is fine except she dropped out off 4th a few times, looks like only a small adjustment needed, so were should I tweak?

Re: Hows the patient Dr Aidan?

Well the old girls back and took her for a good run, well all I can say is it has made an unbelievable difference, all gears up and down the box at various speeds all selecting and feel so much better,no more dash knuckle, parts wise this was a very cheap fix.
