Re: Tyre Choice

Re: CT 1600 coughing, popping and picking up slowly
Hello, Here are your timing marks: Cage and turbine. https://i.imgur.com/8dVUT7f.jpg I take it you are running the original ignition system, but by your post, the 2nd vacuum pipe is disconnected from the dizzy. There is not much to go wrong with the Pict 34/4 carburettor. Check all pipes and flexibl...

Hello, We have '80 and '82 CT's, both fitted with optional servo from new. Does this mean that the vacuum feed pipe from the left hand side inlet manifold is blanked, or not there... :?: Some photos would help. A servo type master cylinder and servo are all available, the most fiddly bit would be t...

Hello,
May I suggest you look at the clip-on plastic badges on the tailgate. I had this problem, removed the badges and filled.
Perhaps silicone mastic would give the same result...

Re: Fuel pump problems
Hello, From your post these are the same problems you had 2 years ago... The engine should start easily even if it is disconnected from the fuel supply and run for a minute or so before draining the fuel bowls. Remove the air cleaners and observe a squirt of petrol from the accelerator jet wh...

Hello, Aaah....air cooled heaters.... OK, so the really important one is the middle. This pulls and pushes the stiff wires from the dash to the front end of the heat echangers. Re: Why would my CT engine have a hydraulic clutch and DK box?
Hello,
As I thought, the 2L throttle cable has been cut down to fit the CT front plate.
The cable normally ends in a long lug to make attaching/regulating easy.
Cordialement.

Re: Why would my CT engine have a hydraulic clutch and DK box?
I thought it was the larger wheels, Wow...you are asking a lot... I run a modified CT (1.7 @ 65bhp) and am going to fit a custom box bought from Vantopia to get a lower 1st with higher 3rd and 4th. All the calculations are based on using 185 R 14 C tyres on steel rims.....like it says in the ...

Hello,
So you have got a long legged DK box with hydraulic clutch...
So it was a 2L CU, swapped out for a CT.
Take a photo please of the throttle cable where it arrives through the tinware to the single carb.
