I use 95 but you should change timing to 5 degrees btdc. Standard its 98 RON with 10 degrees btdc.

Re: Another rebuild already??
Reads to me like you are not doing this yourself? If this is the case and you are finding mechanics to do it for you you are going to struggle to ever get it fixed. The reason is mechanics now days are not engineers, they just don't have the time or patience and if they did have the patience you wou...

Re: Heavy camper, rear sags when loaded...spacers?
Nothing beats a home grown solution and soaking wet has to be worth it given the cost of the kits. Indeed, next up is replacement lower trailing arm protectors, mine, as probably 99% are shagged, Brickwerks were doing rubber ones but they will never last and I see they are now doing aftermarket mou...

I bet I was the only one outside in the storm under the vehicle fitting lift spacers this afternoon, thoroughly soaked  some pics of how they were made.... https://itchyfeetuk.files.wordpress.com/2020/02/20200209_150757.jpg https://itchyfeetuk.files.wordpress.com/2020/02/20200209_151546.jpg

Heavy camper, rear sags when loaded...spacers?
I have heard people making spacers out of nylon to place above the top rear spring holder. I have managed to fit 2x 15mm spacers giving a 30mm lift, does anybody think that's too much? The spring central locator at the top protruded through the spring about as much as the lower one and i can't see i...

Re: Door card restoration
yes that works, I did that also but forgot to mention it, laid flat some water, not too much then put bricks on over night. Warped means that have got wet though.Cecil wrote: I have contemplated soaking them and holding them flat while drying them but worry that I may make them worse.

either grey or green will do, only difference is extended maintenance schedule for neglected commercial vehicles which is a nonsense in our world of campers.
all other ignition parts are the same.

Oldiebut goodie wrote:Why do you need any measurement - just drill a pilot hole behind the adjuster where you need it, take the shoes off and drill as large a hole as your adjusting tool needs.
This ^^^ or if you must drill with the adjuster in place then you can measure yourself, you can see where the adjuster cog is.

Re: T25 1985, no adjuster hole in drum or backplate?
Yes you can drill a hole in the back plate to get to this cog if the hole does not exist, perhaps some aftermarket plates don't have the hole?
click the cog down on both sides to make the shoes tighter and up to loosen
