New carburettor needed
Right, we (and when I say we, I mean Coast VW) have got to the bottom of the van's stalling/running problem and unfortunately its a worn out carb. The vans very much still useable at the moment and I will be picking up tomorrow to carry on life as usual, but I do want to get the issue sorted so that...

How far are you willing to travel? Coast VW in South Molton are T25 specialists.

Re: cruising / top speed
1.9 WBX. Copes with 60mph on a flat motorway/dual carriageway just fine, but I tend to sit at about 55mph.
I enjoy driving the van and am never in rush when I'm in it, so why not make the journey last a bit longer (and improve the fuel efficiency...)

Check this thread out: http://forum.club8090.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=108514" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I had my rock and roll bed re-upholstered in vinyl and am chuffed with the results. When we sleep on it we tend to put a duvet down and sleep on that anyway, so...

Re: Cornwall - when and where to go
Just spent a couple of days at a festival we were playing at Retorrick Mill, near St Mawgan ( http://www.retorrickmill.co.uk/index.php ). Superb site in a stunning location. They had a designated campervan field for the festival, but I can't work out from the website whether they allow campervans to...

Re: Cornwall - when and where to go
Played a gig at Keveral Farm on Saturday and stayed in their campsite. Beautiful location and perfect if you're looking for a basic campsite that feels like it's in the middle of nowhere - it's situated about a mile inland from the stunning stretch of coast between Seaton and Looe (the beach at Seat...

Re: Stalling in neutral
Get your carb set up properly, make sure the choke is working as it should be. Air leaks, or choke left on can all cause these problems. I know lots of other things can as well, BUT I have had my carbs serviced by a really competent carb specialist who made my van behave just like you describe your...

No.
As the removal seemed to have fixed the problem, it hasn't been replaced. Cue 'I told you so' ?

Re: Stonehenge campsite
Ah, you're in Whiteparish!
We were going to spend one night camping in the Parish Lantern, but decided against it in the end as it was an easier journey back to Devon from Stonehenge Campsite.

Re: Stalling in neutral
After another 150 miles of incident free motoring in the T25 over the weekend, had another series of stalling when idling on my way back from 5-a-side football on Wednesday... It was only a short drive home and was fine for the first 5 minutes, then began stalling whenever not being revved. Got home...

Re: Cornwall - when and where to go
Gwithian Farm is a good site. Slightly on the large size for a farm site, so not quite as atmospheric as Treen Farm, but at least you can book in advance... http://gwithianfarm.co.uk/campsite.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Atlantic View near Porthcothan is more basic. B...

Re: English Sea View Campsites
If you find yourself in the far south west of Cornwall, Treen Farm has amazing coastal views from all pitches. It's also very close to an excellent pub. Took the T2 we hired last year there for a night in May. http://www.treenfarmcampsite.co.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return fals...

Re: Stonehenge campsite
Had a very nice couple of nights at Stonehenge Campsite. It's much smaller than I expected, but probably felt like that because there weren't any campers in the large campfire-friendly field - it's tents only in there and I guess the frequent downpours this weekend put any tent dwellers off... The s...
