Re: Oil - synthetic after mineral

Thanks for all the advice and help.

Just to clarify, there is no leak/oil loss - its just that I only bought the van this week so want to change the oil just in case it hasn't been done recently by the previous owner.

I'm about to reveal what a mechanical novice I am, but is it always necessary to change all of the oil every time?

I was under the illusion that topping up the oil would gradually 'change' it over time, hence my concern about mixing mineral and synthetic...

Wild Camping - the rules

So, what are the rules when it comes to wild camping? Are there certain places that it's totally allowed, some places where its absolutely not? And how legal is it?!

Magna-blinds

Does anyone have these Magna-blinds in their van? http://www.delilahsvwcamperfurnishings.com/Delilahs_VW_Camper_Furnishings/VW_Magna-Blinds.html We need to make some decisions about curtains/blinds soon! These sound great but we can't tell from the website whether you can roll them up when not in us...

Winter Campervan-ing`

We're picking up our first van (1989 1900cc T25) on Tuesday and want to make sure it's well used this winter :)

How do you keep warm in a van during the colder months?! And any good tips of places to camp during this time (in the SW)?
