We know how many of you have solar on your buses. We have been using solar for 8 years now.
We have been living full time in our Westy since July 2017.
One thing we did recently was to change our £30 MPPT to a £130 MPPT controller. You can watch our review here. https://youtu.be/IUBQ6ShPsC8

Crimpers
I need a decent pair of ratchet crimpers for insulated terminals. The cheapo pair I currently have don't squeeze the terminal properly, which results in a lot of loose failures. I'd rather not pay for a pair from Facom or Knipex, but will if I need too. All of the reviews I've read on Amazon etc, ha...

Re: Screen washers
I had the same issue until I fitted a non return valve for an aquarium from my local pet shop. Now I get instant water.

Re: solar panel longevity
I have a 20 watt from around 2000 puts out 1.7 amps ( should be 1.8 amps) Interestingly on the spec sheet ( on the back of the panel ) the rating is 14.5 watts! The 20 watt rating is peak (what ever that means) So ( I guess ) when buying 200watt panel you/me are never going to get 200 watts ov elec...

Re: solar panel longevity
I have two Japanese panels that were made in 1988 or 1992, I can't remember which. but they still put around 75% of their stated value in the best conditions I have subjected them to.
I also have a new Chinese panel and the maximum I have seen is around 75% of the stated output.

I fitted the T peice after the fuel filter on our Eber D2. From memory it is recommend to use the correct size hose from the fuel source to the heater.

Re: capacity of water boiler for onboard shower
Do you have a bracket to hold the shower? Picture of the set up would be great. We don't use a bracket to hold the head. We see this a more of a get clean item rather than a luxury shower. To use the smallest amount of water it's best to hold the shower head so you can aim it at the bits you want t...

Re: capacity of water boiler for onboard shower
The Kampa Geyser is quite bulky. I've been thinking about alternatives for a long time. My plan is to mount a 20L Scepter water tank over the rear nearside window. The water will be heated with a 12v 600w stat controlled immersion heater. I have roughly calculated that to heat 20L of 10C water to 35...

We aim for a water temp of just over 35C so you should have plenty.

I'm guessing that the water would need to be above 65c if it is being stored?

We use less than 20l of water in total for showing two adults and 2 children. This includes my wife washing her hair. Showering the way Obg suggested.

I thought the recommendation from Weddle is to use 75/140?
