did you take the wiper arm off to check that it wasnt that ?

Matt is the timing set right ...
are all the vacpipes in good condition
quick check start it up and put the pipe of the dizzy the revs should drop

do you mean move it from van to van or swapping engine's in the same van ? van to van then yes but speak to Gasure or whoever fitted it for you swapping engines again yes .. 1.9 to 1.9 easy 1.9 to 2.1( ><) then again speak to gasure or whoever fitted it If in doubt speak to the people who fitted it

or if you know already can the little orange? plastic tube on top of the carb be replaced?

and no i haven't cack handed me carb (yet) .. my spare one appears to have a broken one on it ? and i was goning to swap them over but i can't now ..

get the van running and then try starting it up .. sounds like a duff battery

so its running ok , and you keep on top of the oil ... i would say get it look at by someone who knows about air cooled engines

is it down on power ?

so it still run ok then ? did it run low on oil at any point ?

Bob it blows hot coolant into the res. tank as it expands and then as the coolant cools it sucks it back into the rad tank, but cos yours is leaking its not sealed is it so not a full vaccum

is the cap working Bob? is the pipe clear ... could be the leak thats stopping it suck back

ok well if i was you i'd be trying the breakers on here and asking them for a 2.0 ltr A/c engine, then asking either Brickyard(huddersfield) or Andy(nottingham) or Autohausby(sheffield) to fit it for ya . If the body and the rest of the camper is knackered then... well thats up to you .. Is the van ...

where abouts are you based ?

you have to rev it to about 2000.. 2500 to bled it
