Re: Clutch issue: spongey and leak underneath

I did both my master and slave cylinders today as both were leaking and the clutch went to the floor when I went to set off recently. It took well under 2 hours including bleeding and I'm not the most mechanically-minded,

Re: Handbrake adjustment - MOT time!

Sorry guys. I know it's in here somewhere but I can't find it and have my MOT in an hour! :o

Is the gear on the adjustment rod pushed up or down to tighten though the hole at the back?

Re: Petrol leak near filler pipe.

Thanks Funkychops.

I suspect I over-filled it and just had petrol slowly seeping out of a full fill pipe. I'll keep an eye on it and drop the tank if I see it seeping again.

Re: Petrol leak near filler pipe.

It's an early van with a 70mm seal. Can these be changed without dropping the tank?

Petrol leak near filler pipe.

I smelled some fumes near the driver side door shortly after filling and found this. Is it a fact of life if you overfill or is it something that needs urgent repair? Is it a tank out job? https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20201010/e40a39d4f4cb4b790b20122f2f55e50f.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Might do that tomorrow :ok

Hard to tell if the Bush is worn but probably is since it drifted out of place.Image

Anti-roll bar popped out of bushing?

My anti-roll bar has looked like this on the near side for some time. I have an MOT (CVRT over here) coming up. Is it a problem and if so is it just a case of loosening off the adjacent bracket and giving it a whack? https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20201003/eb8e07419d2b1588bf5299de90103417.jpg Sent...

Re: 1.9 petrol dg smoke after overrun

If your engine is smoking you're either burning oil or you're 'burning' coolant. Neither is an easy fix. A good compression test result would indicate it's probably the latter. The header tank is the one in the engine bay that is not the overflow tank. It should be filled right up to the top  with c...
