Re: RM212 fridge - verdict plesae
Hi Kev Got a 100Ah leisure so should run a compressor fridge quite happily (latest waeco draws about 1.2Ah/h on a warmish day if you believe the literature) for a day or so, which is what I want. With regard to old fridge, no gurgling when on and I haven't noticed any ammonia stink so a bit perplexe...

RM212 fridge - verdict plesae
Evening all - on our last outing, our fridge seemingly failed mid stay. All three heaters seem to be working (get hot anyway) but no cooling. Pulled the fridge out last night and turned it upside down. Turned it back and reconnected tonight - same result. Heat outside but no cooling inside. As a not...

Re: Throttle flat spot has got worse! UPDATE
Just as an aside, and purely as i forgot to add this in when I changed the vac unit. I managed to change the unit quite easily without the need to strip the dizzy down. Once the two screws holding it to the dizzy body were removed it was very easy to just lift the connecting rod off the pin on the p...

Re: Type 25 water cooled stalling when warm :-(
I would start with the obvious things - I see you have checked the filter (both? there is the cone one in the carb fuel inlet). Now check all your vacuum pipes to ensure they are not leaking - you wont believe the problems a perished pipe causes. Check all of them including the large pipe off the in...

Re: Oil Sump Drain Plug
Yep, my sump plug refuses to budge so I'm not forcing it, I now drain via filler tube. alternative is to crack the seal on the filler tube and drain through there but wear thick gloves if you go down that route as it all gets a bit hot round there. I've used a a hand held sump pump like this... http...

Re: Hi, I'm a new owner in serious trouble.
^^^ What Mocki says. Sounds suspiciously like not enough throw on the clutch slave cylinder so not fully disengaging. Could the whirring noise be down to noisy bearings in the gear box spinning due to the clutch drag??

One of these http://www.fiamma.com/EN/products/fiammastore/manual_awnings/caravanstore/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; also known as a bag awning. Good value, I've got one on mine (hitop) but I think you may struggle with one of these on a tin top though as they hang from a...

Re: Stripped sump plug hole
Just as an aside, this is something I'm always a bit paranoid about. Is it best to try to loosen the plug when hot (ie after warming the engine oil) or cold?

Re: 2E3 Pierburg on 1.9dg tickover too high
Sorry away on business so catching up when I can. I could never get the tickover low enough until I eliminated all the leaks in the vacuum system. In my case I think the biggest improvement came when I removed the vacuum hose that connects to the airbox and put a bung over that spigot. If you've rep...
