Re: Syncro engine swap - DJ to AGG

I’m very peeved that for £100 an auto-electrician told me the CPS was fine and the ECU was faulty, and a ECU testing business for another £100 told me the ECU was a write-off as the tracks had lifted from the PCB. This sent me down nearly a year of head scratching and chasing hares unnecessarily. Bo...

Re: Syncro engine swap - DJ to AGG

It starts! Turns out it was a cruddy Meyle CPS from GSF. Swapped it for a JP one from BW and it fired up no problem.
Exhaust coming from Wolfy on Fb.
Waiting on BW having their air intake solution back in stock.
It might move this summer!

Re: Syncro engine swap - DJ to AGG

Re: Propex or Eber/ Webasto/ Planar

I will have my Propex HS2000 for sale soon. It works just fine for the 3 years I've used it from new, and with the timer can be set to warm up van before you get in.
I'm replacing it with a petrol heater as want to have fuel outside the van (no gas bottle taking up space inside).

Re: Larger spare wheel carrier

"Ben T Syncro" on TheSamba and others in USA sell a clamshell extension kit. This might help you.

This project now abandoned. All AGG parts will be for sale soon.

I’ve not got another engine install in me. Who can fit me a 1.8T?

Re: 'Crashy' ride

Enormous wheels and low profile tyres will give you an uncomfortable ride.
14" wheels are standard, 15" are a reasonable upgrade, anything bigger can cause issues.

Re: Caravelle rear seat fittings / fixings missing?

I seem to be missing the following bits from this image: https://volkswagen.7zap.com/en/rdw/typ+2+syncro/t2/1991-78/8/885-129000/ 7, 8, 9, 10 and 12. I think the most important bit is 7 (the pin) as I imagine the hex bolts are relatively easy to get hold of. It would be great if you or anyone else ...

Re: Caravelle rear seat fittings / fixings missing?

I took a Caravelle rear seat out. I may have some of the fixings still knocking around. Let me know what you're missing using pictures from the mentioned website.
What is the rock and roll bed? I might be interested.

Re: Repair or replace syncro rptrailing arms

If your Syncro is a 14", they're the same as 2WD arms. This helps you with price and availability.
